At A Glance
St. Anthony of Padua School was established in 1907 with 200 students and has grown to 350 students today.
- The school offers two classes per grade, Kindergarten through Grade 8, averaging 23 students per class.
- All K-8 teachers hold bachelor’s degrees. One-third of the teachers also hold master’s degrees, and more than half are working toward master’s degrees.
- The average teacher tenure is 10 years.
- All teachers are Catholic and are either certified catechists or working on their catechist’s certification.
- The school promotes academic excellence in the Catholic tradition through:
- Advanced Math curriculum available in Grades 7-8.
- Art, Computer, Music, and Physical Education classes.
- Daily Religion instruction and prayer.
- Five-year rolling schedule for curriculum review/updating.
- Foreign language (Spanish) beginning in Preschool.
- Ministry Curriculum exposing students to various outreach programs.
- The pastor maintains a frequent, strong and well-received presence in the school.
- Extensive support services include a full-time school counselor/social worker, individualized instruction for the full range of students from struggling to gifted, and a Skills Support Room staffed by a certified special education teacher.
- Numerous extra-curricular activities are offered, including Band, interschool competitive athletics, annual school musical, Science Olympiad, Odyssey of the Mind, Little Flowers and Student Government.
- On-site childcare is available from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM on school days.
- Financial assistance is available through Education Freedom Fund (EFF), Diocesan and parish scholarship programs, and SCRIP Program.
- Facilities include a full-service Cafeteria serving daily hot lunch, fully-equipped Middle School Science Laboratory, and a Computer Laboratory with over 30 computers.
- Busing, within a designated radius of the school, is available through Catholic Secondary Schools Transportation for a per-family flat charge.
- Registration begins in March/April, with priority given to current students and parishioner families.
