Faculty

Outstanding Characteristics:

• Every faculty member is Catholic and is either a certified catechist or working on catechist certification.

• Every faculty member holds current teaching certification required by the State of Michigan.

• All K-8 teachers hold bachelor’s degrees. One-third of the teachers also hold master’s degrees, and more than half are working toward master’s degrees.

• Faculty members continue to update themselves professionally by attending workshops and university courses on a regular basis.

• The average teacher tenure is 10 years.

Specialty Faculty:

Spanish is taught at preschool and kindergarten by Lolly Kamerschen, who has been in the school for 15 of her 30 years in teaching. She was awarded “2005 Teacher of the Year” by the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

The school partners with Grand Rapids Public Schools to provide instructors for:
