Religious Education Opportunities at St. Anthony of Padua
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Community knows that religious education is a lifelong process. And our parish nurtures the lifelong faith formation of adults through religious programming and group activities. Several of these opportunities include:
Weekly Adult Education Meetings
Adult education meetings are held every Sunday during the school year between the 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses. Here parishioners gather in an informal setting to deepen their faith and knowledge of God and the Church. Please feel free to join us. Coffee and cookies are served.
St. Anthony Parish Book Club
Our Parish Book Club holds informal discussions on interesting novels, stories, etc. monthly. If you love to read and would like to share, listen and discuss some great books, this club is for you!
All Book Club discussions will begin at 7 p.m. on the dates listed above. Advance registration is required. Please contact Lynne Haley at the Parish Office (616-453-8229 ext. 301; firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions and to register.
Scripture Study Group
Our Scripture Study Group meets several times throughout the year to discuss seasonal passages from the Bible. These meetings serve as opportunities to learn more about the teachings of Jesus Christ, and how we can live our daily lives accordingly. Groups are normally held during Lent and Advent.
St. Anthony of Padua frequently hosts guest speakers and lectures at the church. These events provide opportunities to gather with our fellow parishioners and learn about various topics – including: the gift of faith, the Lord’s Passion and God’s influence in our lives.
